Pukekohe Hill Stormwater Project

Following a significant failure of the Pukekohe Hill stormwater system in the late 1990’s, detailed analysis and an extensive consultation process led to the preparation of a design to deal with the most severe storms.

A large dam and pond was constructed during 2008 for stormwater attenuation and treatment of the stormwater from the catchment. The pond occupies a natural gully of an area of approximately 3 hectares. As part of the proposal and to assist in the treatment of the stormwater LA4 prepared revegetation planting details for the gully and stormwater pond.
